About Quay Asia

Quay Asia is a development consultancy committed to promoting sustainable growth in Bangladesh. We work where government, business, and civil society meet, turning complex challenges into practical solutions.

Our Journey

Quay Asia has operated in Bangladesh since 2016, building a track record of solving complex operational and implementation challenges. We are a member of the British Business Group in Bangladesh, working alongside UK companies to deliver project support services and foster partnerships.

Our team brings together decades of experience in international development, public administration, and private sector engagement, united by a commitment to development that works. From transforming large-scale public investment programmes to supporting community-based initiatives, we have consistently delivered results that matter.

Our Journey
Our Purpose

Our Purpose

Economic development is not simple. It requires attention to enterprise, employment, energy, education, and the environment, along with an understanding of how these elements interconnect.

We exist to facilitate sustainable and inclusive growth by collaborating with the Government of Bangladesh on multi-faceted technical assistance initiatives, building consensus through effective communication and stakeholder engagement, supporting government to engage the private sector in developmental projects, and offering operational insights and project support to international partners.

Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful progress happens when all stakeholders (government, business, civil society, and communities) work together toward shared objectives. We bridge these worlds, translating complex policy into practical action.

How We Work

Development projects often encounter implementation challenges that stem from political complexity, competing stakeholder interests, or operational barriers. Our approach addresses these realities head-on through deep understanding of institutional landscapes and effective navigation of complex environments.

We are politically informed, understanding the dynamics that shape decision-making and implementation. We are stakeholder-centred, building consensus by engaging all relevant parties from the outset. And we are practically grounded, focusing on what works and adapting solutions to local contexts rather than imposing external models.

Our commitment to inclusivity and innovation ensures that each project not only meets its objectives but also strengthens local institutions, building capacity that endures long after our engagement concludes.

How We Work
What We Stand For

What We Stand For

Our values are not abstract principles; they guide every decision we make and every project we undertake. We believe in inclusive growth, ensuring that economic opportunities reach women, the disadvantaged, and those at the margins who are too often left behind by conventional development approaches.

We stand firmly for rights and dignity, recognising that development must protect the health, safety, and legal rights of all workers, both domestic and migrant. Progress that comes at the cost of human welfare is not progress at all.

We are committed to practical impact, measuring our success by outcomes delivered rather than reports produced. And we believe in collaborative partnership, knowing that lasting change requires genuine partnership with government, business, and communities working together toward shared goals.
